Gail Henson Received Spirit of Hosparus Health Pat Webb Award

Each year Hosparus Health honors one volunteer’s significant service achievements with the Spirit of Hosparus Health Pat Webb Award. A founding member of our organization, we honored Mrs. Webb a decade ago with the inaugural award that will forever be given in her name to recognize a volunteer who models the qualities that she displayed throughout her 40 years of service: dedication, compassion, and a willingness to serve wherever needed.

Our 2022 Pat Webb Award recipient has a heart for hospice and end of life care. This volunteer represents Hosparus Health throughout the community and is an ardent advocate for end-of-life care. A person of faith, a professor by trade, and the human on an amazing pet therapy team, Gail Henson was honored as our 2022 Spirit of Hosparus Health Pat Webb award recipient in November.

Gail has been a Hosparus Health volunteer for nearly 18 years. She has sat bedside vigil with patients who are within days to hours of dying. In addition to visiting seriously ill patients in nursing facilities, Gail has also helped patients and families by providing respite in homes. Rusty and Gail became WAGS Ambassadors in September 2021 and are a welcome team at Treyton Oak Towers.
